The range of DT NO.1 smartwatches has been replenished with several quite interesting models, one of which is the model with the model number DT70. Also, this watch can be found with the name KK70, Gearvita DT70, LYKRY DT70, etc. The novelty has a good appearance, good characteristics and a number of functions, which we will discuss in more detail in the review

Design and equipment
The watch is delivered in a bulky box made of thick black cardboard. There is practically no information about the watch on the packaging, apart from the name of the model “SMART WATCH KK70” and the name of the manufacturer on the bottom of the box. By the way, the packaging may differ depending on the brand under which the watch is sold. Some customers receive the DT70 in a small rectangular white box.
Inside the package is the watch itself, an additional silicone strap, a charger and a short user manual in several languages.
The watch is available in black or silver. You can choose the option with a metal bracelet, leather or silicone strap. Additionally, all options are equipped with a black silicone strap. Judging by the reviews, the DT70, packed in a white box, does not come with an additional strap.
Our piece is silver with a brown leather strap. The leather is, of course, artificial.
The watch case is quite massive. Its diameter is 45 mm, thickness is 11.5 mm. The strap width of the removable strap is 22 mm. As for the materials of the case, this is where the confusion arises. Some reviewers claim it is made of stainless steel, others that it is aluminum. On the manufacturer’s website it is indicated that the case is aluminum, and the mention of this metal can be found on the back of the watch. But, as for me, the material looks more like some kind of alloy, most likely a zinc alloy.
Also on the back panel, you can find a mention of the watch’s protection against water and dust according to the IP68 standard . Although this protection class implies that the device will withstand immersion under water for a short time, the manufacturer does not recommend swimming or swimming in them. More details on the official website https://www.dtnoi.com/product/dtno-i-dt70/ .
The back panel of NO.1 DT70 is ceramic, which is quite a rarity for a budget smartwatch. This solution made it possible to implement wireless charging, which is described in more detail at the end of the review.
On the back panel you can see the speaker hole, optical sensor and a pair of electrodes for taking ECG.
Despite its impressive dimensions, the watch looks good on the wrist and does not cause discomfort while wearing. This is how the DT70 looks on the hand:
Screen and dials
The watch received a 1.39-inch touchscreen display. This is not AMOLED, but a very bright and contrasting IPS matrix with a high resolution of 454 * 454 pixels. From virtually any angle and even in the brightest lighting conditions, the information on the screen can be seen remarkably. Unfortunately, there is no Always on Display feature. Also, there is no automatic brightness adjustment function, neither depending on the ambient light, nor time adjustment.
The lack of automatic brightness control at night is especially unpleasant. The backlight is very bright and its inclusion during sleep can wake up not only the owner, but also those around him. You have to manually set the minimum value (4 levels are available), and also disable the screen activation by lifting your wrist in the application, which is very inconvenient.
In the memory of the device, I counted 21 design options for the dials. About 120 more options are available in the mobile application. It is also possible to customize your own option by setting your own background image.
Control and interface
You can control the settings and functions of the smart watch using swipes across the screen and three mechanical buttons on the right side of the case. A short press of the top button turns the screen on and off, a long press turns the watch on / off. The bottom button opens the sports modes menu.
The central button is rotating. It is responsible for calling the function menu (pressing the button), and with its help you can switch menu items and dials. The main menu has 3 types of design: 2 types of carousel and a regular list.
You can change the main dial by long pressing on the work screen, rotating the crown on the main dial, or through the watch menu.
Swiping down the screen opens a shutter with information about the connection status, battery level, buttons for calling the QR code to download the application, adjusting the screen brightness, own QR code and basic settings.
A swipe to the right opens a curtain with notifications, access to calls and shortcuts to some functions. Swipe up – main menu.
The left gesture calls up the function widgets:
- Daily activity
The main menu consists of the following items:
- Call history
- My QR Code
- Find phone
- Meteorological forecast
- Breathing training
- Menu style
- Settings (language, switching dials, screen backlight time, vibration intensity, password, factory reset, connecting to a smartphone via Bluetooth).
Connecting to the phone
The WearPro app is used to pair the DT NO.1 DT70 (KK70) with a smartphone. It is available for download from the Play Store and the App Store.
The WearPro app has appeared quite recently and, although it has already received several updates with fixes for “bugs”, it has plenty of shortcomings. This is a “curve” translation and low stability of the connection, not the most convenient and detailed graphs of activity, etc. Perhaps in the future the developers will fix the bugs, but for now it is as it is.
The application interface is divided into 4 main tabs:
- About me.
In the “Health” tab there are daily activity widgets (steps, calories, distance), a sleep and heart rate widget.
In the section “Trainings” there is information about sports.
The “Device” menu contains the basic clock settings:
- Send the watch face . Loading additional dials into the watch memory.
- Find your device. When you press the button, the watch will vibrate.
- Camera. Control the shutter of the smartphone camera by pressing the clock button.
- Turn on the screen by lifting your wrist.
- Call notifications.
- SMS notifications.
- App notifications. The choice of applications from which notifications will be sent to the watch.
- My QR code . Menu for adding QR codes Alipay, WeChat, etc.
- Bluetooth call . Connect the DT70 to a smartphone via Bluetooth for calls.
- Heart rate monitoring . Setting up automatic round-the-clock heart rate measurement with an interval of 10 – 60 minutes.
- ECG test . Start ECG measurement from the application.
- Frequent contacts . From this menu, you can sync contacts to dial from the watch. You can add up to 20 contacts.
- More . Do not disturb setting, alarms, warm up reminder, drink reminder.
- Updating the firmware.
- Disconnect the watch from the application.
The last section of the WearPro app is About me . Everything is simple here – personal information is filled in (height, age, weight, gender), units of measurement and goals for the number of daily steps and sleep duration are configured.
Functions DT NO.1 DT70
As, probably, it is already clear from the description of the settings and interface, the main functions of the DT70 smart watch are as follows:
- Counting steps, calories and distance traveled
- Real-time heart rate measurement and automatic monitoring
- Tracking 7 sports modes (running, walking, cycling, skipping rope, basketball, badminton, football).
- Taking an ECG
- Bluetooth calling
- Call and message notifications
- Smartphone camera and player control
- Weather forecast
- Sleep tracking
- Find phone function
- Meteorological forecast
- Breathing exercises
I will dwell on some of the functions in more detail.
Notifications and calls
In phone mode, the clock works fine. From the clock, you can make a call, accept or reject it. The speaker and microphone are not bad, and the audibility is good, and the interlocutor hears remarkably.
When there is an incoming call, the watch screen shows the contact’s name or phone number, as well as the answer or reject button.
When an incoming notification is received, the gadget notifies about this by vibration, and the screen displays the name of the sender or the name of the application. With most applications, the clock works more or less correctly, but notifications from Telegram and Viber do not come, although they are included in the application.
The DT70 accelerometer does a pretty good job of counting steps. In comparison with the Huawei Watch GT 2e, the difference in the number of steps taken is on average no more than 7-10 percent. The DT70 does not count “extra” steps. The distance also roughly corresponds to reality, but the DT70 shows exactly twice as many calories burned.
The watch supports monitoring of 7 sports modes: running, walking, cycling, jumping rope, basketball, badminton, football. The main difference between all modes is in the name, and the data is recorded almost the same: duration, steps, calories, distance, heart rate. For athletes, these data will not be enough, so only for general information. The screenshot below is an example of a training report:
Not everyone will like sleeping with a watch of this size on their wrist, but they can automatically record the time of falling asleep and waking up, and also divide sleep into phases. Compared to many other smartwatches and fitness bands, the DT70 produces a very “modest” sleep report. Only the total duration, the duration of light and deep sleep. There is no general assessment of quality, no recommendations for improving it.
Pulse and ECG
The device measures the pulse quite accurately, but only in a calm state. During training, an increase in heart rate is shown with a lag and a large error.
As for the ECG, then, as for me, this function is not fully implemented here. Something the clock measures for about a minute, but as a result, a report appears in the form of a graph with a change in heart rate. There is no decoding or measurement results. What can be understood from such a report, I personally do not understand.
Massager and breathing exercises
When you turn on the “Massager” function, the watch begins to vibrate continuously, and the vibration is quite strong. True, the meaning of this function is not fully understood.
There is a function of “breathing exercises”. In most smartwatches, it is paired with stress measurement as a way to reduce stress levels. There is no stress measurement here. You can adjust the speed of inhalation and exhalation, as well as adjust the duration of the exercise (1-3 minutes).
Weather and weather forecast
The device can display the minimum and maximum temperature for the current day, cloud cover, UV level and air pressure. From what server these data are taken is unknown, but they more or less correspond to reality.
The battery with a capacity of 280 mAh is responsible for the battery life of the device. The manufacturer promises 4-5 days of battery life with normal use or 7-10 days in standby mode. In fact, it all depends on the intensity of use and settings. With maximum brightness, notifications, constant heart rate measurement and a small number of calls through the watch without charging the DT70, I have 2 – 3 days working.
Thanks to the ceramic back cover, the manufacturer was able to implement wireless charging. It charges the battery in about 2.5 – 3 hours. But, it should be borne in mind that the magnet at the charging pad is very weak and charging is easily interrupted by any movement.
There is one more “jamb”. After the watch was put on charge, even after three hours the indicator was 40%. But at this level, the watch worked without problems for three days and only then the charge level dropped to 20%. At first there was the thought of marriage, but after looking at many reviews, it became clear that this is a massive flaw. For almost everyone in the reviews, the indicator shows 40% of the charge, but no one paid attention to this. Perhaps, with future updates, this drawback will be eliminated, but so far the indicator sometimes “freezes”.
What’s the bottom line?
As with most budget smartwatches, the DT70 (KK70) has both advantages and disadvantages.
- Decent build quality and materials
- Large and bright screen
- Many sub dials
- Additional strap included
- Works great in phone mode
- Convenient navigation and interface
- Wireless charger
- Affordable price
- With active use, the charge lasts for 2 – 3 days
- “Raw” application
- Sometimes after disconnecting the connection, you have to restart the phone to reconnect.
- Weak magnet on charger
- No function for measuring blood oxygen saturation
- Notifications from Telegram and Viber do not come
- No brightness adjustment on schedule
- The charge level sometimes freezes up to 40%
In general, the watch left a good impression. They are stylish, comfortable and have most of the features you need. But, even for $ 40, I would like to get a more “finished” and modified device and its companion application.
